MONTEREY BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING MINUTES

Date:  June 5, 2017
Present:  John Makuc, Roy Carwile, Julio Rodriguez and Peter Kolodziej
Also present: Terry Hensley, Mike Kulig

The meeting began at 4:00pm

1.  Minutes were approved.
2.  The Board met with Hume to discuss the status of their wastewater supply and the groundwater discharge permit they will need to apply for as well as to discuss their water supply and status with DEP and how this all relates to Hume’s expansion plans.
3.  Town report – The VNA submitted confidential information which was not caught when sent to the printer.  The reports have been pulled and it will be reprinted.
4.  The Board reviewed the special permit application for 74 Tyringham Rd and will respond to the ZBA noting that the existing septic is approved and will accommodate the proposed plans.
5.  A survey from the state requesting information on wells was discussed.
6.  Peter is following up on a tenant complaint received.
7.  Peter will be re-inspecting KSA next week.  They have closed the pool for this year and will not be using the basement.  The nursing station is being moved to one of the lodges.  The trash situation seems to be improving.
8.  Camp YES has been reclassified making inspections necessary again.  Peter will be going there next week as well.
9.  The Board discussed the structure issues that Peter found while inspecting Roadside.  He has requested that the Building Inspector make a site visit to determine if it is safe to stay open and operate.  Representatives from Gould Farm will be asked to attend the next meeting.
